Margo Jay, HBBA

Margo Jay has joined Strategic Vision as President of the Canadian Consulting and Research Division.

Ms. Jay has had a long successful Consumer Packaged Goods Marketing career both in Canada and the United States over the last 19 years. During that time, she has worked alongside Strategic Vision in a Client capacity and attributes her ground-breaking strategies and market growth results to the “consumer truths” consistently provided by Strategic Vision. Ms. Jay has had exposure to many types of Consumer Research through her career but continued to ask for Strategic Vision’s methodology as she has found no other that duplicated the insights it provided.

Ms. Jay has had a tremendous career with in-market business results to back up her abilities. She has grown from managing brands to managing teams, departments and corporate long-term strategies as Vice President; with the same passion and results. She has had tremendous success in many categories determining the Achilles heel of competitors through the process of identifying foundational, leverageable and break-through strategies. Ms. Jay has now joined Strategic Vision with the desire to take this ValueCentered™ methodology in a bigger way to Canada.

Ms. Jay’s ability is to take “the whole truth” and develop ground-breaking “consumer intimate” and “brand intimate” strategies that have consistently provided her with repeat successes. Ms. Jay’s expertise begins with an intuitive edge that has developed and strengthened over time. She is intimately familiar with the consumer and brings this depth in understanding to her Clients. Ms Jay is an expert in analysis, writing, feeling & experiencing the business she works on. She has 19 years of professional presentations to a wide variety of audiences and levels of an organization. Her experience includes writing Organizational Visions & Strategies, Category Strategies, Brand Strategies, Determining market shifts and white spaces, Positioning & Communication, Research and innovative Product Development, etc.

Her work and academic background:

  • HBBA Wilfrid Laurier University, 1988 Honours Bachelor of Business Administration.
  • Ms. Jay’s career began in Advertising with Ogilvy & Mather where she developed a deep personal respect for her Agency partners and the value of bringing the consumer experience to life.
  • Ms. Jay’s Marketing Career expands 17 years with the last 8 years as a Senior Manager. Organizations in her portfolio include: Mars Inc, Storck Canada Inc, Georgia Pacific, GlaxoSmithKline (US/Cda) and Alberto Culver.
